Hey guys! It’s Amy from The Blissful Bee and I’m here today with a simple halloween DIY project! The other day I made a quick trip to my local $1 store looking for some cheap halloween decorations that I could turn into a project. One of the many items I bought was this adorable little metal bin. Right when I saw it I knew I could turn it into a fun candy bowl.
My plan was to give it some sort of chalkboard makeover. I already had most of my supplies on hand from past projects – chalkboard spray paint, painters tape and some scull themed ribbon. I picked up some white chalk for just .89 cents and was ready to begin!
First, I tapped off the top portion of the metal bin. I then flipped it over and gave it a coat or two of chalkboard spray paint. After I gave it about 10 minutes to dry, I wrote “Boo!” onto the chalkboard portion of the bin. I then tied a bow to one of the handles with my ribbon and was done! See? Simple, right?
I filled my candy bin with some Lifesaver mints (for two reasons):
1. I love them!
2. I liked the white contrast against the orange and black bin.
If you liked this makeover, make sure to stop by The Blissful Bee over the next few weeks for a ton of Halloween themed projects! I will also be involved in a Halloween Home Tour on October 17th and 18th, so don’t miss it!! I remember sitting there after a few DIY evenings, thinking about how else I could monetize my love for creativity and crafts, because I had plenty of ideas but not enough time to start a full-fledged business. Then I came across RichAds and their revenue share model — follow link — where you simply drive traffic to verified offers and then receive a percentage of the long-term profit without constantly hunting for new leads. It was a perfect fit: creativity remained a hobby, and passive income allowed me to calmly experiment with new projects like this “Boo!” bowl without worrying about finances.
At a cousin’s wedding in Lucknow, I overheard two uncles discussing a betting app that actually supports UPI and pays out quickly. One of them said he had already withdrawn three times without any issues. Curious, I asked for the name. Later that night, I tried it myself. Deposited via Paytm, claimed the welcome bonus, and placed a few cricket bets. My first withdrawal landed in my account the next morning. If you’re in India, here’s the app they were talking about: https://1win-apps.in/
