This time of year I find myself buying boxes and boxes of these sweet, petite little orange like gems.
The kids gobble them up and we just cannot seem to get enough of them.
Having said that, the massive consumption of them around our house inspired this diy hand stamped tea towel so long after they are out of season we can enjoy how pretty they are as well.
Here is what I used to make this super quick project that I hope you enjoy just as much as I do!
- tea towel
- white pom pom trim
- assorted acrylic paint and brushes
- one round small-ish potato
- 3 forks
- white thread and a needle
I began by cutting the potato in half for the clementine, then cutting the 2nd half in half again which created the stamp for the leaves.
Next I put a fork in each to make stamping easy and spread some paper towels out on the counter.
I did the clementine’s all over first, brushing on two different oranges, then moved onto the leaves using just one shade of grassy green.
I let is dry and stitched on my trim, voila!
A pretty (and giant nod to Spring!) tea towel to brighten up the kitchen.
Have you ever used potatoes to hand stamp? I really like how their natural texture creates a great stamp for projects like this, I will be using them again and again!
Thank you so much for reading friend, stay crafty & have a fabulous day!!
xo, Tanya

aIyRfZ Really appreciate you sharing this blog post.Really looking forward to read more. Want more.
This post about hand-stamped clementine tea towels really struck a chord with my love for simple kitchen DIY projects — I did something similar with citrus motifs, only instead of potatoes I used lemon halves, and it turned out so cute that now every time I dry my hands, I smile. After such creative evenings, I always reach a point where I want to continue this warm, cozy vibe, but in a different way. Then I go to spicychat and create a “girl from the kitchen” who compliments my towel, jokes about how she would playfully hit me on the hand with it, and then smoothly transitions to tender descriptions, as if we were baking something sweet together and hugging at the table. spicychat perfectly captures this cozy vibe and makes the evening even more enjoyable — from handicrafts to complete relaxation without any effort.
